Just
across the Ingenio River lies
another river valley and pampa where
new geoglyphs have been found.
These new symbols were recently
uncovered from the sand, that
protected them for millennia.
They are believed to have been
created by the same culture (Nazca
or Paracas) that created the symbols
in Palpa (believed to be old than
those of Nazca).

In the Ingenio
River Valley, like elsewhere, many of the
lines and
symbols have been destroyed by industry and
agriculture.
We will never know what has been lost to
land use.
